I was tempted by the description 'Woven fabric with aztec design suitable for jackets, blankets and capes.' and the distinct colours in the sample to consider making a jacket. When I received the fabric I realised it's potential as a warm dressing gown.
The feel reminded me of Tulloch of Shetland fabric. (No longer trading). Modern shop made dressing gowns no longer contain wool as it is too expensive.
The fabric width of 150cm means a full dressing gown can easily be made for under £4. A good overlap at the front will negate the need for buttons as a belt from the fabric can wrap around to secure. I believe velcro hooks would pull the wool from the fabric.
I ordered more than one colour but sadly the stripe was sold out and vanished from the website. So don't delay as a warm dressing gown will provide years of service and is an ideal practical gift for elderly relatives.
