When I realised (from the Free online Abakhan pattern)

that the cotton tape, that went around the neck was attached to the two ties at the back I thought there is going to be a problem when actually tying the apron. When the ties are pulled, the tape around the neck will tighten. The weight of the apron will now pull on the back of the neck.
The pattern designer had obviously tried to avoid stitching the ties to the PVC.
How would you overcome this problem?
